Damascus Ingot is one of the most coveted items in the Granblue Fantasy Relink endgame grind. The material is very useful to power up your Crewmates’ weapons, unlocking the level limit and making them more powerful. But as many action RPG players are already familiar with, finding items like this won’t be easy. You will have to locate a specific enemy and farm the quests to accumulate a lot of this weapon-upgrading material.
Where Can You Get Damascus Ingot in Granblue Fantasy Relink?
While playing Granblue Fantasy Relink, there are two methods for getting Damascus Ingot.
- Completing the “Slime After Slime” quest for the first time.
- Fight Prismatic Slimes.
- Purchase it with Gold Dahlia Badges at Siero’s Knickknack Shop.
Once you reach the Seedhollow Town in Chapter 7, you’ll unlock the “Slime After Slime” sidequest. Complete it for the first time and you’ll be rewarded with a Damascus Ingot. Unfortunately, you cannot keep rerunning this quest to farm the item. The alternative, though, is to find Prismatic Slimes and clear two different quests.
Prismatic Slimes often spawn in “Slimepede” and “Assault Formation” quests, although the former is preferable for farming. If you manage to defeat one, the Granblue Fantasy Relink Slime enemy will drop various rare materials including Damascus Ingot. Make sure you defeat it fast, as it will run away if left alone for too long! Vyrn will let you know when a “legendary rainbow slime” appears during the quest.
Otherwise, you can also purchase it in Siero’s Knickknack Shop for 20 Gold Dahlia Badges each. If you can’t find it, complete the “Slime After Slime” sidequest because the store only sold items you have obtained at least once. There’s also a locked Whitewing Chest containing the Ingot in Seedhollow. You will need to unlock it with the Whitewing Key.
How to Use Damascus Ingot, Answered
Damascus Ingot are used to uncap your weapon’s levels through the Upgrade Weapons option in the Blacksmith. The common method for uncapping is utilizing a bunch of materials. But if you look closely, you should notice a yellow box with “Use Damascus Ingot” text in it. Press the box and you’ll consume one Ingot to raise the selected weapon’s level cap by one level.
Because of that, we recommend you save Damascus Ingot for the endgame part of Granblue Fantasy Relink. Considering raising weapons levels from 120 to 150 will take a lot of resources and time. Using Damascus Ingot that you’ve been collecting would ease up your endgame grind.
To recap, here’s how you can get and use Damascus Ingots in Granblue Fantasy Relink:
- Fight Prismatic Slimes or trade them with Gold Dahlia Badges at Siero’s Knickknack Shop.
- Select the “Upgrade Weapons” option at the Blacksmith.
- Pick which weapon you want to uncap.
- Select the “Use Damascus Ingot” option.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
