This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Sadly, we’re in the last week of Fortnite OG, and we’ll be playing Season 9 and X in Week 4. As such, many items from that time window have been added to the game, as well as the Jetpack. In Fortnite OG, Jetpacks allow you to quickly evade your opponents and unexpectedly outsmart them. Moreover, since their usage time is quite long, you can use them until the end of the game without any problems. However, you need to know how to get a Jetpack in Fortnite OG first.

In Fortnite OG, it’s always a good idea to have a Jetpack with you at all times, as this item can help you in places you never thought possible. Apart from that, the Jetpack allows you to attack your opponents from unexpected angles and outplay them. In Fortnite OG, you can easily find Jetpacks in Supply Drop and Loot Chests. There’s also a chance that you can get it from the enemies you kill if they’ve been lucky enough to find one.

Other than that, using a Jetpack in Fortnite OG is as fun as playing Jetpack Joyride. Of course, it doesn’t go as fast as X-4 Storming, Driftboards, or ATK, but at least it lets you glide some distance. The spawn rate of Jetpacks is surprisingly high in the game right now if you ask me, and it’s very likely that they will nerf the spawn rate in the upcoming days, just like in Buried Treasure Maps.

As you may remember, Buried Treasure Maps were nerfed for having too high of a drop rate last week, and many players almost never found the item again. I hope that will not be the same for the Jetpack. Frankly, I’m quietly hoping that Epic Games reduces the drop rate of Jetpacks as it’s a bit too high at the moment.

Using a Jetpack might seem quite easy in Fortnite OG, but if you use it incorrectly you can get yourself killed very quickly. So, here are a few things you should be aware of before using it. First of all, if you’re fighting someone higher than you, make sure you go upwards while your enemy’s attention is elsewhere, otherwise, they can laser you to death very easily.

Also, if you aim when your feet are off the ground, the Jetpack will activate. If you’re not careful while using a Jetpack in high places, it can cause you to fall and die. Trust me, I learned this the hard way.
