This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

In the putrid, devasted crevices of the Gloomrot region in V Rising 1.0, one flower defied the onslaught and carelessness of human progress. The plant called Plague Brier is a bonafide survivor, and you share a kinship with it, being a vampire survivor of humanity’s scourge. It just so happens that you might find no shortage of purpose for this plant. Hence here’s how to get Plague Brier in V Rising, and how it might be of use to you.

The Plague Brier flower grows in the Gloomrot South region and near Silverlight Hills. Both are mid to late-game areas in V Rising 1.0. You’ll want to be stealthy in approaching this plant as there is no shortage of patrols and mutants surrounding it.

You’ll immediately recognize the plant with its distinct yellow spiked bulb. If you want to harvest the Plague Brier, make sure to bring a melee weapon with you.

Thankfully, the Plague Brier is “teleportable.” It falls under the herb category and you can also store it in herb storages.

Alternate Way of Obtaining Plague Brier

If you find traveling back and forth to Gloomrot and Silverlight Hills too daunting, especially without Bat Form, there’s a more sustainable way of getting Plague Brier through gardening.

You can purchase Plague Brier seeds in V Rising and make good use of them through this step-by-step process.

  1. Build a Growing Plot near your Castle, larger ones are better. You usually only need Plant Fiber to build it, but the larger ones might require Stone Body or Plank.
  2. Obtain 80x Goldsun Coins either by slaying humans in the Silverlight Hills or crafting them through the Fabricator (Silver Coin + Gold Ingot).
  3. Bring your Goldsun Coins and go to the City Herb & Potion Vendor in Silverlight Hills (westernmost area). Assume the Human Form before entering the city.
  4. Buy the Plague Brier Seeds from the City Herb & Potion Vendor.
  5. Head back to your Castle and plant the Plauge Brier Seeds in the Growing Plots you built.

You’ll need to wait for them to grow before you can harvest them, but this method is more sustainable and more convenient.
