As you progress through Palia, you must farm many materials, from common wood and minerals to rare fish species. But if you want to earn some money, give a friendly gift to an NPC, or decorate your home, Silk Thread is what you need. With this material, you can create excellent fabrics and use them to create exquisite furniture. In the real world, Silk Thread is produced exclusively by Silkworm, but this process is much easier in the game world. So, if you want to how to get and use Silk Thread in Palia, we are here to help.
Palia: Where To Get Silk Thread
To get Silk Thread in Palia, you must catch Rare and Epic Insects in any location. Silk Thread is a secondary reward for bugs-catching, and the amount of materials directly depends on the rarity of your target:
- Rare Insect: 0-7 Silk Thread
- Epic Insect: 0-14 Silk Thread
- Common and Uncommon insects have a zero chance of dropping Silk Thread.
Based on statistics, Epic beetles may seem like the best source of Silk Thread, but they are not. It will take a long time to find at least a few Epic creatures, and the statistics still do not exclude the possibility of a bad drop. On the other hand, walking around Palia, you will catch a lot of Rare Insects pretty quickly and accumulate a lot of valuable material.
You can look for bugs in any location and at any time of the day, but there are a few insects that we recommend starting your hunt with. Stock up on Smoke Bombs and go hunting:
- Firebreathing Dragonfly – All Day in Kilima Valley (Family Farm)
- Vampire Crab – Evening and Night in Bahari Bay (Beaches)
- Leafstalker Mantis – All Day in Bahari Bay
- Golden Glory Bee – Morning and Day in Kilima Valley
- Scintillating Centipede – All Day in Bahari Bay
- Princess Ladybug – All Day in Kilima Valley (Lake Coast)
How To Use Silk Thread in Palia
First, it is worth noting that Silk Thread in raw form is of little value. You can sell it for 14 Gold and use it in the Badruu Blues and Louder than Words quests, but that’s all. But everything changes once you reach Furniture Making level 6. You only need to visit the Tish NPC and buy the Silk recipe for 1,500 Gold from her. To make this material, you will need 5 Silk Thread and 10 minutes of Fabric Loom. But once you get the precious Silk, you can use it in one of the following ways:
- First, you can use Silk to create exquisite furniture. Bellflower Bed, Capital Chic Bed, Capital Chic Couch, Moonstruck Bed, and Ravenwood Couch are just a few of the furniture pieces you can create.
- You can also use this material in quests such as Exquisite Belt and Supreme Smoke Bomb.
- In addition, you can gift Silk to NPCs like Jel and Eshe to increase friendship levels.
- Finally, if you have too much Silk, you can sell it for 145 Gold each.
