The Fief Key is an essential item if you to access the Fief of Kinrangr. To get it, you’ll need to go to Forsaken Fen and even fight a boss, so to do so successfully, use our guide on how to get and use this key in Lords of the Fallen. The key does not appear anywhere and is not a reward from the boss. Instead, you will receive it from Andreas of Ebb in Skyrest Bridge, so check out this article to learn how to do that.

So, as we mentioned above, you can get the key from Andreas of Ebb, which is located on Skyrest Bridge. Unfortunately, you can’t go right up and get the item, but instead, you’ll need to partially progress through the game. To initiate the conversation in which Andreas of Ebb will give you the key, you will need to kill The Congregator of Flesh.

The Congregator of Flesh is a powerful boss that you will encounter while exploring Forsaken Fen. The enemy looks like a large pile of flesh and bones with teeth sticking out, and it is located not far from Forsaken Fen Lookout, closer to Vestige of Olleren. Here are the main recommendations on how to defeat him:

  • Use fire attacks, as this is the boss’s weakness.
  • Most of the boss’s attacks are poisonous, so we recommend stocking up on some Poison Cure for this fight.
  • Use ranged attacks and keep moving because the enemy is big enough to attack you all the time if you stand still.

Eventually, after defeating the Congregator of Flesh, you’ll need to return to the Skyrest Bridge and find Andreas of Ebb. When you do, approach the character and talk to him, after which he will tell you that he is planning to go to the fief of Kinrangr because there are plenty of people who need help. At the end of the conversation, he will give you a key.

Note: If you continued playing and did not have time to come to the Skyrest Bridge to meet Andreas of Ebb, you will find a note instead that says the same information as in the dialog and the Fief Key with it.

Using the key is much easier than finding it, and it will take you a few minutes. If you’re ready to open a new area, you’ll need to move on to Vestige of Marco the Axe. Here, you will find a large frozen door with a bell, which you might have noticed before but didn’t understand how to open. So, when you find the key, go back to this location and use it on this door to open the next area to explore and progress the story.
