With the new update of the Leatherworking Station, Thick Hide has become an even more important material in V Rising. One of the most important ones, the newly added Vampire Horse Saddles, can be crafted from this station. But for this, you need to know how to get Thick Hide and Thick Leather. Thick Hide can be found in Dunley Farmlands and Hallowed Mountains by killing any animals except wolves. You can easily farm Thick Hide from Cow, Sheep, and Dog from these two regions. Also, while not as good as farming animals, another way to get Thick Hide is to loot Militia Camps.

How To Get Thick Leather in V Rising

You can get Thick Leather in V Rising with the help of a Tannery. However, you will need to have 16 Thick Hides and 1 oil for this. In V Rising, you need to learn the Tannery blueprint to craft Thick Leather. This is done thanks to the V Blood Bosses. To learn the Tannery, you need to kill Keely the Frost Archer located on the Bandit Trapper Camp in Farbane Wood.

How To Get V Rising Oil

There are many different ways to get V Rising Oil and they can be used to make extremely useful items such as Thick Leather or Fire Resistance Brew. A few of the ways to obtain Fish Oil are through the Blood Press machine, the Saw Mill, and the Devourer. The most logical way is to get V Rising Oil with the Devourer.

But first, you need to defeat 2 V Blood Bosses. One of these bosses is Rufus the Foreman, who will give you the blueprint for a Fishing Rod. The other is Lidia the Chaos Archer, who will give you the Devourer blueprint.

Once you have these two blueprints, put the Devourer in your castle for 12 Planks and 6 Copper Ingot, then catch as many fish as you can. Then throw the fish you catch into the Devourer and you can easily get V Rising Oil this way.
