Want to know where to get Usurper’s Schemes in Honkai Star Rail? The resource is practically a necessity in the game, as it is responsible for leveling up some of your characters, their Traces, and a few Light Cones. So this means you’ll be spending a lot of time grinding these materials. Despite its importance, Usurper’s Schemes are relatively easy to nab. Let’s take a look at all the ways to get Usurper’s Schemes in Honkai: Star Rail.

Much like Thief’s Instinct, Usurper’s Schemes are needed for particular characters to Ascend past their current level cap. March 7th is amongst these characters, as five Usurper’s Schemes are required to Ascend her from Level 40 to Level 50. Meanwhile, your Trailblazer’s level cap can Ascend from Level 50 to Level 60 with the help of 12 Usurper’s Schemes.

But the benefits do not stop there. You should also keep an eye on these characters’ Traces and Light Cones, as the resource can increase their stat boosts.

Farming Usurper’s Schemes

Thankfully, even players relatively new to the game can obtain Usurper’s Schemes at a fast rate. The resource is dropped from many enemies in the Space Station’s Supply Zone and Simulated Universe, though it can also be crafted. Here’s a breakdown of all the ways you can get it:

  • Battle in the Storage Zone or Simulated Universe: There are plenty of enemy types that drop the resource in these locations after combat. This includes Stormbringer, Eliminator, Trampler, Reaver, Distorter, and Baryon.
  • Obtain Usurper’s Schemes from the Synthesizer: The Synthesizer menu enables you to swap just three Thief’s Instincts for one scheme from its Synthesis tab.
  • Use the Synthesizer’s Exchange: If you don’t have Thief’s Instincts on hand, you can click on the Synthesizer’s Exchange tab to earn schemes just by trading in any three-star Trace material.
  • Complete Assignments: Particular tasks reward schemes by the handful, so don’t be afraid to venture outside of story missions.

Out of these solutions, we advise Trailblazers to mainly secure schemes from enemies in the Storage Zone or Simulated Universe. While other methods require precious materials or time spent completing missions, these opponents take just a few minutes to find and defeat. They are also known to be incredibly weak to elemental characters given to you at the start of the game.
