X-45 Heartbreaker Mount in WoW Dragonflight
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Until February 20, 2023, WoW Dragonflight adventurers can take part in the “Love is in the Air” Event, during which they can unlock the limited-time X-45 Heartbreaker Mount. This Mount is not new to the World of Warcraft, and many veteran players might know how notoriously rare it was in previous years, even to the point of being “heartbreaking.” Fortunately, Blizzard has made an official announcement regarding this Mount’s drop rate, stating that the likelihood that players can unlock the X-45 Heartbreaker has been “greatly increased” for this year’s Valentine Event. As a result, if this Mount has been eluding you for years, you might be extra lucky with your efforts for 2023.

To unlock the X-45 Heartbreaker Mount in WoW Dragonflight, you need to hunt down an enemy known as the Apothecary Hummel, a miniboss in Shadowfang Keep that spawns during the Love is in the Air Event. You can queue up for the seasonal Dungeon by opening your Dungeon Finder in the “Dungeons & Raids” tab and completing a run daily.

Defeating the Apothecary Hummel during 2023’s Valentine Event will reward you with a Heart-Shaped Box, which has a chance of dropping the X-45 Heartbreaker Mount WoW Dragonflight. According to sources at Wowhead, it is crucial to note that the drop rate increase buff has been stated to be only available for the first Heart-Shaped Box you receive for your account on a daily basis. In other words, using alts for farming the Mount will not have this benefit. Therefore, it is important to understand that you will be dealing with the low default chance after you have opened the initial Heart-Shaped Box on your account.

While the X-45 Heartbreaker Mount WoW Dragonflight will be the highlight of everyone’s endeavors during Love is in the Air 2023, remember that there are plenty of other exclusive rewards to obtain during the event. Be sure to log in every day to clear Apothecary Hummel, after which you can complete various other activities to unlock event-related achievements and get event currency to buy Valentine-themed items. You have until the 20th to participate, so be sure to get any exclusive content before then.

World of Warcraft is available on PC via Battle.net.
