Whenever a new version comes out for Honkai Star Rail, people must make one of the hardest choices: pull or wait. For the latter, many people let go of some fantastic characters to save their currency for their favorite ones or others that favor the game’s meta. One of the characters that many might have missed is Yukong, a new Imaginary user who is excellent at buffing teammates. Thankfully, Honkai Star Rial is giving Yukong for free during version 1.2, and today, we’ve prepared a guide to tell you how to get her as soon as possible.
Honkai Star Rail: Free Yukong Guide
Players must do a few things to get Yukong for free in Honkai Star Rail if they want to add her to their team. As usual, most of the game’s features and rewards are locked behind the main story, which isn’t too bad as it gives a bit of lore for those interested in it. Yet, those who want free things might have to wait and progress through some quests that may or may not interest them. To get Yukong, this is what you need to do:
- Complete “A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant.”
- Complete Forgotten Hall: Memory of Xianzhou Stage 1
It is uncertain what type of enemies are coming to the new Xianzhou stage, but many can expect some foes from the game’s second world. With that in mind, Imaginary, Fire, and Wind characters are your best choice.
Is Yukong a Good Character?
Definitely! Getting a free Yukong in Honkai Star Rail is fantastic, as she’s one of the best buffers in the game so far. She can increase party members’ attacks and boost their speed, maximizing everyone’s damage potential. Plus, she uses the Imaginary element, which is great as we have few characters with that element in the game.

Now that you know how to get Yukong for free in Honkai Star Rail, grab your best team to get through the story and tackle the Forgotten Hall. The latter isn’t too hard, but you’ll need a good strategy to get the most out of it. Yet, once you get everything, you can save your Stellar Jade for any of the characters in the game.
