The life of a swordsman is extremely dangerous, even more so when you have numerous enemies and must enter many battlefields. While Henry is a powerful swordsman, he’s still human and can get hurt. Unfortunately, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t hold new players’ hands, and many may not know how to heal and restore HP. Don’t worry, though—it’s not that difficult to regain your health, and there are several methods you can use to prevent Henry from dying.
How To Restore HP in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
There are several methods available to heal and restore HP in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2:

The most obvious way to heal in KCD2 is to sleep. Besides removing exhaustion, you will gradually recover lost health. However, make sure to tend to your wounds before taking a nap. Remember to have ample bandages to prevent bleeding.
You also need to sleep in your own bed, not someone else’s. If you dare to sleep in another person’s bed, you will be caught and fined. Each region usually provides one or two free beds. For instance, the first free bed you can claim as your own is from the blacksmith. Besides that, you can also rent a bed at a tavern or inn if you find yourself in a town. Unfortunately, you must rent one before nightfall, as the innkeeper will also go to sleep.
Another way to restore HP and heal is by drinking potions. This method is especially useful when you are losing your health in battle. You’ll want to make Chamomile Brew or Marigold Decoction. Chamomile Brew increases the amount of HP you recover while sleeping, while Marigold Decoction restores a portion of your health. You will learn Chamomile Brew automatically from Bozhena during the tutorial, but you need to purchase the recipe for Marigold Decoction from an herbalist or apothecary.
Eating is another way to restore some health. It’s not as effective as chugging down Marigold Decoction, but you can regain some HP by eating hearty and filling food. I recommend eating vegetables, bread, and meat. This will also reduce your hunger and remove related debuffs.
Besides those two methods, you can also heal yourself by visiting a bathhouse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Although you won’t directly recover HP, you can treat wounds on Henry’s body, which affect his HP and stamina bar. The bathhouse will also clean your dirty clothes, which is great if you need to impress someone.
