For the King 2 is all about strategy. You must choose the best characters with the right skills to make up a reliable party. Someone with healing abilities or supplies is vital. For the King 2 also features a Party Heal skill, but if all else fails, you can revive characters instead. Even so, let’s hope we can keep everyone alive and well to finish the battle without worrying about bringing them back.

There are a handful of things that any character can do or use to heal in For the King 2:

  • Herbs
  • Tinder Pouch
  • Resting
  • Healers

Healing Herbs and Tinder Pouches in For The King 2

The game features several herbs you will come across in various locations. Godsbeard, for instance, is a healing herb you will get at the start of the game. Other useful herbs to use include the Purple Herb and Firesilk. A great way to enhance character healing with herbs in For the King 2 is to upgrade the Old Pipe. Make sure you buy and equip it on each character if you want all of your party to reap the benefits of such healing.

Tinder Pouches are handy to heal multiple characters at once by summoning a camp. Keep in mind that it will count as a turn. So, try to save it for when you absolutely need it.

Resting and Healers

For the King 2 features specific points of interest in settlements for character heals. If you head into town, you can rest at an inn and see your party healed. Do you still need more time to recuperate from those bruises? Visit some healers in town that will give you an HP boost.

Party Heal is a unique OP skill in For the King 2. If you want to take advantage of it, you need an Herbalist. It’s a secondary skill, and it won’t cost an attack action. The ability works in combat, at rest, and in the overworld. To make use of healing the entire party in combat, be sure everyone else in the party is on the surrounding tiles.

Want to know something else cool about the Herbalist? If you have the upgraded Old Pipe, the Herbalist can boost the heals from it and make them constant. This, alongside the Party Heal, makes them a must-have in any party setup.

So, maybe the battle didn’t go as planned. Your heals are used up, and these For the King 2 enemies are too much for your characters. Now, it’s time to revive.

The game gives you three ways to revive:

  • Overworld: You can dip back into the overworld to breathe life back into your fallen companions.
  • Revive Ally: In combat, you can select the Revive Alley option whenever someone falls. Keep an eye on the life pool, though. Each time you use the option, it will cost you a heart.
  • Sanctums: Once you’re devoted to a Sanctum, you’re automatically revived. This uses up the Sanctum as it breaks down, and you lose any other benefit it gave you.

You can check out the Revive Ally feature below and hope you don’t have to use it too much:

No matter how tough the enemies get, For the King 2 gives you plenty of ways to heal and revive your characters:

  • Healing
    • Healing herbs
    • Resting in inns, camping, or visiting healers
    • Using Party Heal with a Herbalist character
  • Reviving
    • Sanctums
    • Going back to the overworld
    • Revive Ally option

Remember to keep an eye on everyone’s HP and balance your party as best as you can. Thankfully, the Herbalist is available from the start. If you want to try them out, you can play For the King 2 on PC.
