There are many exciting new features like switching up your sims’ personality traits and the many new furniture and customization options. Since family is the focal point, we finally have a way to celebrate our pregnant sims via a baby shower. If you’re excited about this, we’ll show you how you can host a baby shower and what can come from it in The Sims 4 Growing Together.

How to Host a Baby Shower in The Sims 4 Growing Together

In the latest expansion pack, The Sims 4 sees new social events. One of those is a baby shower. This is a great way to make the time before the baby is born more fun and hands-on.

When you pick up your phone and check under Social Events, you may have already noticed the “Baby Shower” tab. However, that does not mean you can host it.

If you want to host a baby shower in The Sims 4 Growing Together, one of these two things must be true:

1. You are playing as the expecting parent
2. You live in the same lot as the expecting parent

A cool thing about being an expecting parent is that this doesn’t just include being pregnant. You can also have plans to adopt or have a Science Baby.

It’s straightforward enough to get things going. Follow the steps below to begin your hosting journey:

1. Open your phone and select “Social”
2. Scroll down and click on “Plan a Social Event”
3. Under “Start an Event”, choose “Baby Shower” at a cost of 250 simoleons

And that’s how you can kick things off to host your own baby shower in The Sims 4 Growing Together.

If you want to reap some rewards, you will want to click on the “Goaled Event” option.

Now it’s time to invite others to the party. You must invite at least 2 sims to the party with a max of 15. As for location, you can choose to have it at your own home or in a different area such as the park. After you settle on a location, you can choose a time for the event to begin.

If you want to host a fun baby shower in The Sims 4 Growing Together, be sure to decorate the venue beforehand. Just hop into build mode at the location you chose and decorate as you see fit (and how much money you have).

Don’t forget to add a stereo and a cannon. Some of the objectives will probably include using those items.

Baby Shower Rewards in The Sims 4

When you host your baby shower in The Sims 4 Growing Together, you can earn medals as long as you complete objectives within the timeframe.

During the baby shower, look to the upper left corner to see everything you need to do. Here’s an example of the goals you must reach for the medals:

• Talk about the baby
• Tell funny stories
• Congratulate the expecting parent
• Thank a guest for coming

The goals are also marked with how many times you must do them. For instance, you can thank a guest once but have to tell a funny story three times.

Depending on how many goals you complete, you can get the following medals and rewards:

• Bronze Medal: Cute Critter Rattle Toy
• Silver Medal: Cute Critter Rattle Toy | Some-Bunny Loves You Rattle Toy
• Gold Medal: Cute Critter Rattle Toy | Some-Bunny Loves You Rattle Toy | Inspirational Mouse Poster | Baby Bliss Bassinet

Guests will also give you gifts so you can leave the baby shower with extra goodies.
