Blazing a trail toward greatness

Identical to Genshin‘s Adventure Rank, Trailblazer Level is an essential stat you should keep an eye on in Honkai: Star Rail. For those unfamiliar, Adventure Rank is a character-level-style stat that dictates what Travelers have access to during their journey. Likewise, a higher Trailblazer Level will allow you to progress further in story Missions or buy particular goods from the Store. To increase your Trailblazer Level in Honkai: Star Rail, you must accumulate a resource called Trailblaze EXP. There are two sources for these experience points.

To get Trailblazer EXP in Honkai: Star Rail and increase your Trailblazer Level, you must complete Missions or consume Trailblaze Power. You will be clearing Missions throughout the entirety of your ever-expanding journey. As for Trailblaze Power, it’s a resource that functions identically to Original Resin in Genshin.

You’ll start completing Missions from the moment you activate your Receptacle main character. You’ll fight enemies, clear objectives, and in time reach the end of a Mission. Afterward, you’ll receive several rewards, including Trailblazer EXP in Honkai: Star Rail. Once you’ve completed Herta’s Simulated Universe demo, you’ll gain access to side Missions. These are optional but provide decent resources and Trailblazer EXP for your effort.

In MMORPGs, clearing the MSQ is the best source of experience for your characters. Similarly, finishing the main story Missions of Honkai: Star Rail will net you the greatest amount of EXP to increase your Trailblazer Level.

Increasing Trailblazer Level with Trailblaze Power

As noted above, Trailblaze Power is identical to Original Resin, a Stamina-like resource used to complete specific activities. Whether you’re participating in weekly activities or repeatable events, spending Trailblaze Power is mandatory. You can purchase more Power with Stellar Jade or wait for it to naturally replenish in real-time. Whatever the case, consuming this resource will grant you Trailblazer EXP.

Between Trailblazer Levels five to 35, you can claim rewards from “Trailblazing Will,” a permanent event in Honkai: Star Rail. It will grant you Star Rail Passes and Stellar Jade for Warp Banner pulls. Accordingly, remember to visit “Trailblazing Will” when you reach Levels 5, 15, 25, and 35 to receive your goods. Stelle and Caelus deserve it.
