In 7 Days to Die, you have to kill 2 zombies and ensure they spawn in the first place if you want to nab an achievement before it’s too late. The open-world survival horror game drops players into a desolate, bleak landscape. You must build shelter, find food, and fight off hordes of zombies that roam the area. It’s all in preparation for making it to that 7th day, where things go from bad to worse. For now, we will help you quickly kill 2 zombies so that you can earn an achievement before that dreaded day arrives.
7 Days To Die – Kill 2 Zombies
The “Kill 2 Zombies in 7 Days to Die” challenge quest went live on June 20, 2023. Players have until June 27, 2023, to complete the challenge and earn the achievement. The challenge is only for Game Pass Ultimate members.
It is a quest that seems straightforward at first glance. Besides hunting animals, you’re killing zombies in the game. However, it is not always simple. 7 Days to Die has an issue with zombies not spawning sometimes. If that is the case, you can find yourself stuck going through multiple in-game days without seeing one.
Once you reach the Blood Moon, you can score the achievement then, but it’s much harder and increases your chances of dying. It’s even worse if your shelter is unprepared for such an onslaught.
An easy way to accomplish the 7 Days to Die Kill 2 Zombies challenge without the Blood Moon is to do the following:
- Enter a private game
- Lower the difficulty setting
- Find and kill 2 zombies

We first want to set up our game to make it as easy as possible. Load up a private session where your server is not visible. It ensures no one can join and disrupt your tasks. From there, you can change the difficulty setting. Lower it to the easy one: Scavenger. It’s intended for those who don’t know how to play the game, but since we just want to earn the 7 Days to Die Kill 2 Zombies achievement, your experience doesn’t mean much.
Another simple setting deals with the zombies directly. You can change their speed in the daytime, at nighttime, and for feral zombies. If you don’t want to fight, lower them to “Walking” status. They will remain slow. So, you can run up on them and get the kill. A torch works great here, as you can set multiple zombies on fire. Otherwise, your fists can do the job too.
If your spawning is the issue for your 7 Days to Die kill 2 zombies challenge, consider upping the daylight length setting to the highest of 18 hours. It gives you more time for zombies to show up. Also, make sure the “Enemy Spawn” setting is turned on. If you are on the Game Pass through the PC, you can always mod the game to help this process too.
Although the challenge is specific for Game Pass members on Xbox and PC, 7 Days to Die is also available on PlayStation and through the Steam store.
