Square Enix’s latest entry has a particular way of leveling up. Here is how to level up fast in Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII.
Although we gain experience during combat, everything is measured in the DMW roulette system.
If you had a PSP, you tried Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII at some point. It’s one of the best JRPGs of its generation and an excellent prequel to the Square Enix classic. Since December 13, we can enjoy the remaster Crisis Core Reunion.
It may not be as spectacular as the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Still, Crisis Core Reunion successfully updates the original PSP game. It takes it to a new technical level on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.
We’re looking at the same game from 14 years ago, which means the gameplay mechanics are identical – remember how you level up in Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy 7?
It works differently than in other Final Fantasy games, so you might be lost if you didn’t play the original. We explain how to level up quickly in Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII.
How to Level up Fast in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion
Crisis Core Reunion (and the original 2008) has a leveling system different from what we are used to. And it is precisely one of the most exciting factors of the title.
Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII incorporates a roulette system called DMW during combat, which fulfills different functions.
As we defeat enemies, we accumulate experience, of course. Still, the difference is that we have yet to be shown the amount of XP harvested in Crisis Core Reunion.
Instead, the XP we get goes to the DMW roulette, which rotates randomly during each combat in Crisis Core. Sometimes it can provide us with an exclusive summon, special attack, or even a level-up.
The effects of the DMW roulette are random, but for Zack’s leveling up, the total XP we have obtained will count.
Only by obtaining the necessary experience will the roulette wheel reflect a 7-7-7. This is the only combination in the game that allows us to level up.
Tips to level up faster in Crisis Core Reunion? First, the more fights and XP you get, the faster you become stronger. The fact that it is done through a roulette system mostly stays the same.
When it comes to leveling, the best option is to choose secondary missions full of enemies. An example is the 1-1-6 mission, which pits us against 1000 SHINRA soldiers.
Thanks to the DMW system, we can level up Zack (only by rolling three 7’s, remember), unleash powerful Summons, level up the Materia, or perform charged attacks.
Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII is available from December 13 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
