It’s no exaggeration to say that Amazon’s Fallout TV Series is an absolute success, and among its three protagonists, none managed to earn the hearts of the community like the ever-optimistic and charismatic Lucy MacLean, whose journey we get to follow since before the attack on Vault 33. But did you know that although you can use mods to bring her to the game, it is possible to make Lucy on Fallout 4 without them? Here’s how to make Lucy from the Fallout TV Series in Fallout 4.
How to Make Lucy MacLean in Fallout 4: Eyes, Skin, and Hair Color
(Updated on August 9, 2024 – updated links)
From the Default preset (Face 01) for the female Sole Survivor, you will be able to make Lucy in Fallout 4 by first removing all of the Extras —Makeup, Markings, Blemishes, and Damage— from the character before changing her skin and hair color, as well as her eye style. For the eyes, we will go with Wide 2. After picking the new eye style, sculpt her upper and lower eyelashes until they look like the ones showcased below.
After finishing with the eyes, change her hair color to Warm Black and her skin color to Rosy. Once all of the above changes are done, your character will look like this:
For the following steps, I recommend temporarily changing your hairstyle to one that won’t obscure any portion of your character’s face.
Eyebrows and Forehead
Now that the eyes are done with, it’s time to work on the rest of the upper portion of your character’s face. You can do so by first changing her Forehead type to Smooth and then shortening it. After that’s done, change her eyebrows to Thin Arched and model them so that they will look like the ones showcased below.
Ears and Nose
Next on our list is changing your character’s nose and adjusting her ears. The latter can be done by simply pulling them up so that their middle portion will be almost in parallel with her eyes. You will be able to sculpt a nose not identical but as close as possible to Lucy’s by first heading to Nostrils and then pushing them down until they reach the position featured in the image below. More specifically, try to get the nostrils in line with her earlobes.
After adjusting the nostrils, shorten her nose and then head to Bridge and unscale its value a little before going to Tip and pulling her nose up slightly. Once you are done, your Lucy’s nose should look like the one below.
Mouth
Now it’s time to adjust your character’s mouth, a feat you can do by first changing her mouth type to Full 1 or 2. After picking your mouth preset, lower its scale a little, push its upper lip slightly down, and its lower lip up before lightly pushing the corners down to get the result below.
Jaw, Cheeks, and Chin
The final step in creating Lucy in Fallout 4 will be adjusting the remaining portions of the lower half of her face, which we can do by first changing her cheeks style to Smooth and then slowly working on modeling them, while also working on her chin and jaw. When doing so, the main guideline is that her cheekbones should be prominent in the area above her mouth.
Now, if you feel the need to, just make a few key adjustments like pushing the tip of her nose up a little more or making sure your mouth size fits the overall face composition. Once you are done, your Lucy model will look similar to the one below. You can make her skin softer by adding light Blemishes and Makeup.
Unfortunately, given the lack of hairstyles in Fallout 4, none of the ones featured in the game will even come close to the ones used by Lucy in the TV Series. For PC players, using Azar’s Azar Ponytails mod will allow you to get a few picks who come close to it. Among the mods’ hairstyles, the best for Lucy is undoubtedly the twelfth.

For those looking for a more photorealistic look, Chibako’s Lucy MacLean from Fallout Series V2 mod goes above and beyond when the subject is bringing Ella Purnell’s likeness to the game.
