This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

The cooking mechanic is crucial because the items made are used for quests, restoring stamina, improving friendship levels, and selling for profit. There are over 200 unique recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, like the Mint Candy. However, sometimes, it is hard to know exactly what ingredients you need for each dish. Ingredients are often in specific biomes or locked behind quests, making finding them frustrating. For that, nothing is better than pampering yourself after so much searching than with a sweet treat.

Where to Get the Ingredients?

You will not be able to find the Sugarcane ingredient from Goofy’s stall or the Mint ingredient from the Frosted Heights biome if you do not complete two important objectives first:

  1. Unlock the Dazzle Beach Biome
Dazzle Beach is one of the first biomes you will unlock by paying to clear the entrance of Giant Night Thorns for 1,000 Dreamlight after completing the Friendship is Everything quest.
  2. Unlock the Frosted Heights Biome
You can clear the giant thorns blocking the Frosted Heights biome for 10,000 Dreamlight. The Frosted Heights biome is the next recommended unlock after the Sunlit Plateau biome. You may have to complete The Signing Ice from Elsa after she reaches friendship level 6. You will gain access to an upgraded pickaxe to break the icicles blocking portions of the map.

You need the following three ingredients to make the Mint Candy recipe:

  • Mint: The only place you can harvest Mint is in the Frosted Heights Biome. You will find mint growing on the ground, like green leaves attached to brown twigs. You can have a friend who specializes in foraging to increase your chances of finding mint.
  • Sugarcane: You can purchase the Sugarcane ingredient for 29 coins from Goofy’s Stall in the Dazzle Beach Biome. You can also purchase the Sugarcane seed for 5 Coins to grow Sugarcane yourself. The seeds take 7 minutes to fully grow.
  • Coal: Coal isn’t part of the recipe, but you need it to cook it on a stove, so make sure you have one available.
