Like any other great pirate, Edward Kenway is always looking for ways to make a fortune, and not only for story reasons, but to actually purchase better gear, beef up his Jackdaw, and improve the hideout. That means that you’ll have to do a bit of grinding to unlock everything locked behind some Reales. For that reason, we’ve made a quick guide to show you the best ways to make money in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

1. Pursue Convoys

The first thing you’ll want to do, after paying a 100-Real fee, is pursue Naval Convoys. You can get a tip from them showing their location by going to a tavern. After that, the Convoy will stay for a while on the map, allowing you to board it. Note that some Convoys only have materials such as Sugar and Rum. However, some can give you at least 5,000 Reales, which is one of the fastest ways to make money in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, albeit with some RNG thrown into the process.

2. Raid Forts

While it might be a one-time thing only, raiding forts is extremely profitable. Most forts will give you around 8,000 Reales, and will even open new routes for your fleet, which means even more profit down the road. However, tackling all of these places may take a while, as some are extremely strong for the Jackdaw, especially during the early hours. Still, you can always bring the difficulty down just for the forts if all you want is quick money.

3. Assassin & Naval Contracts

Naval and Assassin’s Contracts are another excellent way to make money, especially if you meet the extra requirements. Every contract will task you with completing a second objective. While completely optional, they will reward you with 500 Reales, which are great on top of the base pay. So, whenever you arrive at a new location, make sure to look for these activities and pursue them as fast as you can.

4. Kenway’s Fleet

This one leans more on the passive ways to make money in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it is a pretty good one. It may take a few hours until you see some profit, though. As we said, you need to tackle forts first and then capture powerful ships. However, once you have a good fleet with as many slots open as you can, just send your ships on missions and enjoy the earnings. Also, make sure to focus on missions that actually pay Reales.

5. Sell Rum and Sugar

Last but not least, selling Rum and Sugar still remains as one of the best side businesses you can have in the game. While it may take a while to amass large quantities of these materials, once you have many of them, make sure to sell them to any trader on the map. For instance, a stack of 200 Sugar will give you around 8,000 Reales, and you can keep doing it as many times as you want.

Ultimately, there are many ways to make money in Black Flag Resynced, so don’t stick to only one; it will make the process extremely tedious. Just remember to go off the beaten path once in a while and tackle those side objectives for some extra Reales and some useful rewards.
