With the release of the A Rift in Time expansion, Disney Dreamlight Valley players have been introduced to a whole new world of culinary feats. The game’s cooking menu has been expanded greatly, with over one hundred new recipes for players to make. A new Chez Remy is on Eternity Isle, and players are encouraged to expand their culinary horizons by collecting the new ingredients found there, from paprika to agave. One of the first meals players might encounter is Ruby Masoor Dal, a three-star meal that isn’t too hard to make, so long as you know where to find the ingredients.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Ruby Masoor Dal Recipe

To make Ruby Masoor Dal in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1x Tomato
  • 1x Chili Pepper
  • 1x Ruby Lentils

Tomatoes and tomato seeds are sold at Goofy’s Stall in Dazzle Beach. The stall in the Grasslands on Eternity Isle has tomato seeds as well, but Dazzle Beach is a sure bet. Full-grown tomatoes cost 33 coins, while tomato seeds cost 8 coins and take one hour to grow when planted. Remember to water the plant twice.

Chili Peppers can be found at Goofy’s Stall in the Sunlit Plateau. Whole chili peppers cost 117 coins, making it much more profitable to buy the seeds for 20 coins each. Chili Peppers take forty-five minutes to grow, unless you’re using Miracle Growth Elixir or Even More Miraculous Growth Elixir.

Ruby Lentils are the hardest of the three ingredients to find, as they only grow on Eternity Isle. Specifically, you can find them in the Grasslands, Promenade, Lagoon, and Grove areas of the Wild Tangle biome. We had the best luck buying them at Goofy’s Stall in the Grasslands once it was fully upgraded.

After you’ve collected all three ingredients, head to the nearest cooking pot to make this Dreamlight Valley recipe. Make sure you have at least one coal on you to begin the cooking process, then toss the tomato, chili pepper, and ruby lentils into the pot to make Ruby Masoor Dal. This three-star dish can be eaten to recover 405 energy or sold for 357 coins.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is now available for PC, Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
