Sweet Vegetable Cake is one of the more involved things to cook up in Ark: Survival Ascended, but if you want a quick and easy Cementing Paste farm, it’s necessary to have. Sweet Vegetable Cake is the only food that can be fed to the Achatina, an oversized snail that moves along, leaving Achatina Paste in its wake. Achatina Paste can be used as a cheap and easy substitute for Cementing Paste, which is necessary to craft most metal structures and aquatic saddles. However, without the recipe on hand, cooking Sweet Vegetable Cake can be relatively difficult in Ark: Survival Ascended.
Sweet Vegetable Cake Recipe
To make Sweet Vegetable Cake, you need:
- 2x Giant Bee Honey
- 4x Sap
- 2x Rockarrot
- 2x Longrass
- 2x Savoroot
- 4x Stimulant
- 25x Fiber
- Water
Once you have all the necessary ingredients, head to a Cooking Pot and put all the ingredients inside. Add some Wood or Thatch for fuel and light up the Cooking Pot. The recipe will take some time to cook, but once you’ve got it, you can collect it and feed it to a wild Achatina.
How To Get Sweet Vegetable Cake Ingredients
The ingredients for Sweet Vegetable Cake aren’t the easiest to come by, and most of them require a decent bit of effort to obtain. The first and arguably most challenging ingredient to get is Giant Bee Honey. For these, you must travel around the outer edge of the Redwoods and search for giant bee hives on the larger trees. From there, you must wear a full Ghillie Suit, then scale the tree with a Grappling Hook to collect Giant Bee Honey from the hive.
Next, you have to get Sap, which can be collected from certain trees, like those near the swamp biomes, when harvesting them. You don’t get much per tree, but you should get enough to make at least 3 Sweet Vegetable Cake from one of the larger trees.
Next, you have to produce vegetables. These ingredients are the most time-consuming. You must collect Rockarrot, Longrass, and Savoroot seeds and grow them into fruit-bearing plants. Each plant can take several hours and sometimes even days to grow in-game, so it’s best to get these first in preparation for your cooking.
Finally, you must collect Stimulants, Fiber, and Water. Stimulants can be crafted with easy-to-obtain ingredients in a Mortar and Pestle. Fiber can be collected from foliage either with a Sickle or by hand, and water can be collected with a Waterskin by interacting with it while you are in the water.
