While many players might be looking to get some of the new weapons and high-end gear of FFXIV 7.1, some will just care about the expensive new materials, such as Corduroy Felt. Like many other previous patches, 7.1 brought a coveted reagent that you can use to craft some of the most expensive glamour items in the game. Even if it doesn’t provide a lot of benefits combat-wise, getting this material and using it for crafting will fill your pockets with gil in a matter of minutes. Well, assuming you’re lucky enough to get Corduroy Felt in the first place.
How To Get Corduroy Felt in FFXIV 7.1
Corduroy Felt is a new crafting reagent introduced in FFXIV 7.1. Instead of being used for crafting or gathering gear or any of the level 720 combat armor sets, this material is required for one new cosmetic set. We’ve only discovered two ways to obtain it so far:
- As a random drop from level 100 Treasure Maps (Timeworn Br’aaxskin Map).
- From the Market Board.
The easiest yet most time-consuming way is through the Timeworn Maps. Assuming you have a good party and a lot of luck, you can obtain some Corduroy Felt by doing these instances. However, it’s all RNG-based, and then you might fight some other players for it, so it will take a while. The second way is through the Market Board, but depending on your server, one piece of Corduroy Felt might be pricey. In some cases, it can even go above 1 million gil, which is a lot.
Crafting List
If you’re somehow lucky enough to get this material, you can craft the Wintertide Attire. You can either create it for yourself or sell it on the Market Board. I recommend the latter, especially since many players will be looking for it. In any case, these are all the pieces you can make with Corduroy Felt in FFXIV:
