Survivor.io is an exciting bullet-heaven-style game where players battle against hordes of seemingly endless zombies. With the introduction of a local co-op mode in March 2023, you can team up with a friend to compete for the highest score or see who can survive the longest. However, to unlock the local coop mode in Survivor.io, both players must reach at least level 10. Here are the details about how to add friends and play local coop on Survivor.io.
How To Add Friends and Play Local Coop on Survivor.io
In order to add a friend and play co-op mode, you will need their name or Player ID. Your friend should provide you with their name or Player ID, which can be found on the “Player Details” screen within the game.
The game would have assigned you a random name if you had not chosen a name. You can change this name by tapping on the Edit button in front of it. To access the “Player Details” screen:
- Tap on your Avatar located at the top left corner of the game.
- Look for your name displayed at the top of the screen.
- Directly underneath your name, you will find your Player ID.
To play co-op mode in Survivor.io, both players need to be connected to the same network. One player can create a Wi-Fi hotspot using their device. Alternatively, both players can connect to the same Wi-Fi network or router.
Once both players have met the requirements and are connected to the same network, follow these steps to initiate co-op mode:
- Launch Survivor.io on devices.
- On one device, select the co-op mode option.
- On the other device, select the join option.
- The game should search for available rooms or ask for the code.
- If the game does not automatically detect the room, enter the room code provided by the hosting player.
Survivor.io‘s co-op mode offers an engaging and thrilling experience for players who wish to team up with friends.
