It’s a reality that isn’t exactly uncommon in gaming: motion sickness. Whether you normally experience it or not, it can spring up on players during certain games. From the POV to turning too quickly, or the fish eye view, many factors contribute to causing a queasy feeling in some people. Unfortunately, many have reported feeling just this in Sons Of The Forest. If you feel motion sickness while playing Sons Of The Forest, you may try some methods to prevent it from happening.

How to Prevent Motion Sickness in Sons Of The Forest

Motion sickness isn’t a fun sensation, especially if you are just sitting down to enjoy a game. It can cause a range of symptoms, like headaches and nausea, making it impossible to play.

There are some steps you can try out to prevent motion sickness in Sons Of The Forest. Now, none of these can be seen as guaranteed solutions since everyone is different. Still, they are worth trying out if you are avoiding what is a remarkable survival horror game because of this.

Lower Sensitivity Settings

Prevent Motion Sickness in Sons Of The Forest

Adjusting the sensitivity settings is a good first step to prevent motion sickness in Sons Of The Forest.

Sensitivity settings commonly cause motion sickness regardless of the game you’re playing. So, if you experience the sensation in other games, you can try this step out there too.

For Sons Of The Forest, dip into your settings menu and select the “Controls” tab. There are multiple sensitive settings, but try adjusting the Mouse X and Mouse Y ones. After lowering them, go back into the game and see if it improves anything.

Prevent Motion Sickness in Sons Of The Forest via FOV

Your Field of View (FOV) is another area you want to check out. You will want to be in the settings menu again, but this time, head over to the “Gameplay” tab that is right next to “Controls.” Under “Camera,” FOV is the only setting you can adjust.

This is where the fish eye effect comes in. So, it is important that you fiddle around with this setting until you find something that looks best for you. Don’t make it too wide or too little, as either way won’t help prevent motion sickness in Sons Of The Forest.

Prevent Motion Sickness by Removing Motion Blur

Yet another common area found in games is the motion blur effect, which can wind up hindering people who suffer from motion sickness. So, you can try turning this off and seeing if it helps your situation.

In the settings menu, select “Graphics.” Scroll down, and under “Features,” find “Motion Blur” and tab it to “off.” Now you can get back into the game and see if it works.
