The day has come. Fire Emblem Engage is available to download for those who pre-ordered the game. While the combat is looking great, and there are some new and fun mechanics, people are more interested in something else. The characters. Units, as they are known in the franchise, are the pillar of any Fire Emblem game. This time, we have a quite colorful cast done by the talented Mika Pikazo. Many gamers already have their favorite units, and one of the most liked ones so far is Kagetsu. This samurai-like character who has a really fun attitude is a great addition to any team composition. Today we’ll tell how to recruit Kagetsu in Fire Emblem Engage.

How to recruit Kagetsu in Fire Emblem Engage

Most of the characters are unlocked just by playing the main story. While there are two characters you can obtain through Paralogues, Kagetsu is one that’ll you get later in the game. As you know, the story takes the protagonist and their colorful companions around Elyos. Here, you’ll visit four nations. One of the last ones is the one that has Kagetsu as a recruitable unit. Here, we’ll tell you how to recruit Kagetsu in Fire Emblem Engage:

  • Reach Chapter 11 of the main story
  • Progress through the main battle of the chapter
  • You’ll get Kagetsu as a unit in the second half of the battle

Recruiting Kagetsu in Fire Emblem Engage is quite easy and shouldn’t take too long. Of course, this will depend on the difficulty you’re playing on. Many people have reported that this game is harder than previous entries. Even with the Emblem Rings, you’ll need some careful planning if you want to try the Hard or Maddening modes. But having Kagetsu on your team can make a big difference. He is a sword user but also serves as a supporting character. In that case, you should try to equip Emblem Rings to improve his qualities.
