Living a life of crime is one of the world’s greatest gaming pleasures, and you’ll be happy to know that criminal activity is entirely possible in Palworld. As you traverse Palworld’s immersive open world, you’ll encounter friendly NPCs who are protected under the might of the law. If you accidentally send a Pal to attack them, you might encounter some dangerous guards who come to instill justice. You don’t want to become too notorious, so here’s how you can remove any criminal activity underway in Palworld.
How to Gain Criminal Activity Wanted Status in Palworld
Throughout your exploration of Palworld’s open world, you’ll encounter certain friendly NPCs that don’t go out of their way to attack you (in contrast to NPCs such as Syndicate or Free Pal Alliance members). However, if you take the initiative to attack them, you’ll receive a warning that “Criminal Activity is Underway.” If you continue to attack them, you’ll eventually become Wanted.
When you are Wanted, Palworld’s police force will send PIDF Guards to your location. These PIDF Guards will then attack you. Your Wanted level can increase if you fight back against the PIDF Guards or continue to attack friendly NPCs. We haven’t tested how high exactly your Wanted level can go up, but as your Wanted level increases, you’ll see more and stronger PIDF Guards coming your way.
How to Remove Wanted Status in Palworld
Now that you have several PIDF Guards chasing your tail, there are a couple of things you can do to remove the Criminal Activity Wanted status in Palworld. Fighting PIDF Guards with your Pals doesn’t seem to increase your Wanted level. When you defeat all the PIDF Guards, your Wanted level will disappear. In other words, removing any witness to your crime will remove your Wanted level.
The more morose way to remove your Criminal Activity Wanted status in Palworld is just to die. Letting PIDF Guards kill you will remove the Wanted status. This is not a very attractive option, as you’ll likely have some rare loot, so treat this method as a last resort option.
There does seem to be a way to simply wait out the Wanted status. Speaking from personal experience, I’ve holed myself up in my base inside a fortified building where PIDF Guards could not enter, and the Wanted status seemed to disappear after a while. The interaction with PIDF Guards seems a bit buggy, but you can try bringing yourself to a location where PIDF Guards can’t reach you either.
Note: The Wanted status does feel somewhat buggy at the time of this writing, so some of these rules feel inconsistent. For instance, Pals attacking friendly NPCs or guards doesn’t increase your Wanted level. We’ll keep this article updated with any additional rules to the Wanted system, but for now, this information should keep you as a top criminal in the game.
