After many years, Star Wars fans could experience a fantastic game set in this world with a rich story thanks to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Now, after three years, the sequel to that game, Jedi Survivor, is finally here, and the game got better than its predecessor in any way possible. Still, there are some mechanics that were left precisely the same in the game. One of those mechanics is scanning enemies, and here is how to do it in Jedi Survivor and what it does.

How To Scan Enemies and What It Does in Jedi Survivor

Scanning enemies or finding information about them isn’t something new in video games. Likely every game that has rich lore has a sort of codex where they can learn more about the characters, creatures, and enemies they face throughout the game. Star Wars Jedi Survivor, like its predecessor, uses the same mechanics.

Scanning enemies is quite easy in the game, and all the challenge is first defeating the enemies. Once they are down, go near them so your beloved droid, BD-1, can scan them. To scan, simply hit the down D-Pad on your controller, and DB-1 will start scanning. After a few moments, the information about that enemy will be added to your codex, which you can see from the pause menu.

But this also raises the question of why you should scan enemies and what it actually does. Firstly is all the information you can learn about them which can be interesting for fans of the series. Among that information, you will also learn about their movement and also if there is any break in their fighting style.

In Jedi Survivor, a new mini-game called Holotactics has also been added that you can play at Pyloon’s Saloon. This is a strategy game where you must pick units and lay them on the ground to fight. Each time you scan a new enemy in the game, they will be added to the Holotactics, making the mini-game much more interesting and fun.
