Now that Red Barrels has finally gotten to the point where they can see the finish line on the new Outlast addition, they’ve released a small window for a closed beta. Outlast Trials will have a closed beta before its official full release near the end of 2022. During Gamescom 2022, it was released that this closed beta will only run from October 28th to November 1st of 2022. In this article, I will explain everything you need to know about signing up for the Outlast Trials closed beta during its short timeframe.
When Will the Closed Beta Begin?
The official release date of The Outlast Trials had yet to be disclosed. However, we know that the Closed Beta will be accessible from October 28th, 2022, to November 1st, 2022. It’s predicted that The Outlast Trials will produce a full release very soon after the closed beta has run. As there will only be two months remaining before the end of 2022, it would have to be released in that timeframe. If Red Barrels is to keep their promise about its release timeframe, that is.

How to Sign Up for The Outlast Trials Closed Beta
If you’re looking to get a taste of Outlast Trials before its full release, this is the right article for you. Red Barrels has made it possible for us to try out this exciting new game. It is supposed to be the prequel to the original Outlast Trilogy and take place during the Cold War. During The Outlast Trials, we are even rumored to see Chris Walker, the first Outlast Games main antagonist, once again.
Signing up for this closed beta is relatively simple. You have to have a Steam account. From your account, you have to navigate to The Outlast Trials page. You will need to search for the section on the page that reads “Join the Uninitialized.” From there, you will see a green button that reads “Request Access,” and select it. Once you’ve clicked the button, you will get a confirmation message.
It’s not set in stone, but likely, players who sign up for the closed beta will get an email when granted access to the game. For the time being, we have no clue how many players will be allowed to participate in the closed beta. This will likely be disclosed as we grow closer to the closed beta beginning.
