Even though humans aren’t a common species within the world of Palia, that doesn’t bar them from solving Palian riddles. The first part of the Ancient Battery Riddle is easy since you just need to follow the directions Jina left you in the letter she sent after meeting her for the first time. You can’t miss it if you’re checking your mail after it’s delivered. Getting the battery into the door that she asks you to go through is only the first half of the whole riddle. At least it’s a lot easier to solve than the Twin Waves Riddle.

To solve the Ancient Battery Riddle in Palia, you need to use your watering can to pour water into the basin in the center of the room. There are two waterfalls on either side of the bridge just before the basin. You can use the ponds at the base of them to fill up the watering can. Although deep enough water can kill you, forcing you to return to the moment before you jumped in, these ponds are safe to collect water from.

  1. Walk to the location on the map that Jina wants you to go.
  2. With the Ancient Battery, open the Ruin door beyond Phoenix Falls.
  3. Go to the basin at the center of the room and use your watering can to pour water inside.
  4. Don’t stop pouring water until the entire basin is full.
  5. Once full, a cutscene will commence that opens the locked door just past the water basin.

Go through the door and walk past the Phoenix Statue to enter an open room with another statue. Interact with this state and return to Jina to let her know what lies beyond.
