As you stay on different moons, looting for scraps to turn into credits, you’ll come across a variety of different monsters in Lethal Company. While some of these are completely harmless, there are definitely a few that can cause major damage if you don’t know how to evade or attack them. Coil-Head is one of these monsters. With a weird, mannequin body and head paired with a giant spring for a neck, they’re easily one of the scariest things you can ever come across. But you need to know how to survive and defeat Coil-Head in Lethal Company if you want to live to see another day.

The best way to survive and defeat Coil-Head in Lethal Company is to have one crewmate stare it down while the others loot around it. We don’t know if these monsters are just shy, but they freeze in place when you stare them down. They’ll go in for the kill at any chance they get. Considering that, we recommend that you back out of buildings so that you’re always starting at the Coil-Head. Even turning for a moment to make a run for it can cause them to catch up and kill you in the process.

We’ve also experienced that using stun grenades can temporarily disable them. It looks like if they can’t see you at all, they’ll stop in place and sit there for a second, as though they’re reset. This will give you the perfect opportunity to get out of the facility if you’re having trouble otherwise because of the Coil-Head. The bestiary entry has more information about them as written by Sigurd to help you and your crew stay alive just a little bit longer.
