This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

While monsters like Thumper will attack you as soon as they see you, some enemies in Lethal Company take a more sneaky approach, and Snare Flea is a prime example of this. Sitting on the ceiling and waiting for their prey, these little creatures can become a problem for an unprepared player. Indeed, in addition to an unexpected attack and decent damage, these creatures can deprive you of all collected Scrap (especially if a Hoarding Bug is wandering nearby). However, facing a Snare Flea is not so scary if you know what to expect, and we are here to help you.

Essentially, Snare Fleas are relatively small enemies in Lethal Company that look like giant fleas. They always sit on the ceiling, wait for their victims, and jump onto the player’s face as soon as they get too close. As they are trap monsters, they choose dark corridors and rooms as their habitat, but if you know where to look for them, it’s not too difficult to find them. But if you missed even one, you could be in trouble.

Jumping on your head, a Snare Flea will not instantly kill you, but will instead deal damage over time. In addition, you will drop all the Scrap you were holding in your hands. In this situation, a Snare Flea can be one of the most harmless enemies… or a death sentence. After all, if you play alone, most likely, you will die without being able to kill it. On the other hand, if you’re playing Lethal Company with a team, another player can knock the Snare Flea off your noggin with just 1-2 hits with a melee weapon.

However, it is best to get into the habit of checking the ceiling when entering a new room or corridor. In this case, you can bypass the Snare Flea or repel the attack as it jumps on your head. But keep in mind that you can meet more than one such monster in one place. And in this case, it is best to avoid their habitats.

How To Kill a Snare Flea & Is It Worth It

Yes, you can kill a Snare Flea with just 2-3 hits with a melee weapon, but that doesn’t make much sense. More precisely, it is much more effective to bypass it to save your health to preserve it for encounters with more dangerous monsters. However, if a Snare Flea does jump on your face and another player knocks it off you, you should kill it. Having fallen to the ground, a Snare Flea will begin to run away, and you only need to deal 1-2 hits to finish it off. Otherwise, it will return to its place on the ceiling and again become a potential threat.
