Glitchtrap returns in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach Ruin DLC as a digital enemy, and players want to know how to survive it this time. The Ruin DLC follows the adventures of Cassie, a young girl exploring Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex to search for her friend. The DLC story is a separate campaign from the main Security Breach game mode. Cassie faces several new animatronic enemies, including the monstrous Mimic and the digitized Glitchtrap. The new Glitchtrap will hinder your FNAF Security Breach Ruin progress when using the Vanny Mask.

Glitchtrap is a recurring enemy in the FNAF franchise, first appearing in the Help Wanted spin-offs. The robot is a digital virus that exists in a digital world based on the Five Nights at Freddy’s food chain.

He can download his essence into other animatronics and potentially even humans to take over them. The foe returns in the main story of Security Breach, taking control of a decayed animatronic to stalk the main protagonist.

A new version of Glitchtrap appears in Ruin, this time as a digital avatar. He will appear to Cassie if she wears the Vanny Mask too long. Wearing the Vanny Mask allows you to see the digital interface of the mall. This new digital realm has several puzzles and activities that you can do to progress through the game’s narrative.

Glitchtrap will eventually appear and begin stalking Cassie in the digital world. He will give you a jump scare and hinder your progress if he catches up to you. The animatronics in the real world can still get you, so you must be on the lookout for Glitchtrap and other machines.

Glitchtrap can only harm you when wearing the Vanny Mask and seeing the digital world. Simply remove the Vanny Mask to get rid of Glitchtrap in FNAF Ruin. It can’t harm you in the real world, so as long as you’re not wearing the Vanny Mask, you’re safe from Glitchtrap.

Unfortunately, you must wear the Vanny Mask in multiple situations in the game to progress. Certain puzzles and obstacles can only be solved with the digital interface. However, Glitchtrap doesn’t automatically spawn when you put on the mask. You have several seconds before it appears, giving you enough time to view the room’s layout in the digital realm.

The best strategy to avoid Glitchtrap is toggle the Vanny Mask on and off. If Glitchtrap has already spawned and you’ve removed your mask, he may still be in the digital interface once you put it back on. Wait a few moments before putting on the mask; he should despawn.
