If you have the free Fjordur DLC, you’re probably wondering about the bosses and how to tame a Fenrir in Ark Survival Evolved. The Nordic-centric expansion map brings adventures through new creatures and a thrilling setting. Fenrir is one of the biggest attractions. However, you cannot tame it through normal means. Instead, there is a different step you must take if you want a Fenrir to join your ranks of epic animal companions.
What Do You Need for Fenrir in Ark?
Fans of Nordic mythology will recognize the name “Fenrir” right away. It’s a massive wolf that closely resembles the extinct Direwolves. In Ark Survival Evolved, the wolf is a potential mount. With most animals in the game, you must knock them out and feed them for taming. Otherwise, the non-violent ones require frequent feeding. Eventually, you have a tamed companion to use for various purposes.
Unfortunately, learning how to tame a Fenrir in Ark is difficult. It requires a different, more time-consuming approach. If you want to tame one, you must defeat all the Ark Fjordur bosses. Ending the first few bosses is a requirement to unlock access to the final boss: Fenrisulfr.
Once you defeat Fenrisulfr, your inventory will contain a Cryopod that holds your new and tamed Fenrir. You cannot breed the Fenrir. So, if you want more, you’ll need to go through the process to tame another Fenrir in Ark Survival Evolved.

Fenrisulfr is a larger version of Fenrir. The battle resembles that of the previous bosses in Ark. You’ll fight against a Gamma, Beta, and Alpha. Here are the specific requirements to get you closer to your new tamed companion:
