The overall technique required to tame bugs in Grounded is a fairly simple one. Find a bug, and feed it Slurries. For the most part, 2 or 3 slurries should be enough to take yourself a bug, but every once in a while, it may take a few extra. So it’s always safe to be prepared. Different types of bugs also enjoy different food, so don’t just take one kind with you when you set out to tame your first bug in Grounded. When the bug you’ve chosen has decided that it is satisfied with the food you’ve provided to it, it will decide to follow you. At this point, the Grounded bug will be tamed and ready to be put into a pet house.

If you want to deposit your new tamed bug into a pet house, you must have had one built before you tamed the bug. To build the pet house, the first thing you’ll need to do is Analyze Mushroom Brick.

Making Slurries is something that isn’t all too difficult either. All you will need is a Grinder along with either plant fiber or mushrooms. Dropping mushrooms into the Grinder gives you mushroom slurries while dropping plant fiber into the Grinder gives you plant slurries. This really matters when taming bugs because Weevils enjoy mushroom flurries and Aphids like plant slurries.

To Build a house for your newly tamed bug, you can use these materials:

  • 2x Weed Stem
  • 1x Acorn Shell
  • 4x Mushroom Brick
  • 2x Crow Feather Piece

This should be a simple process, and before you know it, you’ll have pet bugs of your own!
