Titans are a unique variant of Bosses in ARK: Survival Evolved and are formidable opponents. One of the Titans is the Forest Titan, and a fight with him is not easy at all. The towering beast is a big problem for players, but it is useful when tamed, as you will unlock the Tek Engrams in Extinction. This guide will show you how to tame Forest Titan in Ark Survival Evolved.
ARK Survival Evolved: How to Tame Forest Titan
To tame Forest Titan in ARK Survival Evolved, you need to eliminate the corrupt purple orbs on Forest Titan’s shoulders and chin. This can be done with a blaster or a hand cannon.
However, before taming the Forest Titan, you first need to summon it and prepare for the battle. For this, go to the Artifact of the Growth cave, located at 11.8, 39.0. There will be a lot of different creatures in the cave, such as Megalosaurus, Rexes, and others, but you are looking for the Artifact of Growth, which is at the very end of the tunnels, located at 13.5, 49.2, right before the Summoning Terminal. Once you have collected the Artifact, step onto the Summoning Terminal, and offer the following items:
- Artifact of the Growth
- Corrupt Heart x10
- Sauropod Vertebra x10
- Tyrannosaurus Arm x10
Forest Titan Fight Guide
Once you have summoned the Forest Titan, you will be transported to the forest arena, which is, in this case, in the world. For the best result in the fight, you will need a lot of items that provide health and damage boosts:
- Med Brews
- High-level mount
- Sleeping Bags
- Tek Armor
The towering creature will use its sheer size against you. It will utilize a ground slam, a beam attack, and a charge attack. You will need to remain mobile and avoid its attacks. The Forest Titan will see vines to attack you and will try to grab you.
One of your helpers will be wild forest wyverns, which you will be able to mount and attack the Forest Titan with fire damage.
As you eliminate corrupt purple nodes on Forest Titan’s body, his arms will fall off, and another purple will appear, this time on his chin. Once you destroy the orb, Forest Titan will fall to the ground. You can approach it at this moment, and a prompt will ask you if you want to tame the Kaiju. When you tame it, Forest Titan will become one of your mounts, and it will have its own saddle.
Remember, Forest Titan is not a permanent tame but a 24-hour temporary tame.
