After a very short wait, the Mercenaries for Resident Evil 4 Remake is here. If you didn’t play the original game, this mode pits you against several enemies, and you need to take them out as soon as possible. Everything is about fighting fast and killing a bunch of enemies. While most people think Leon is the only one who’ll fight, there’s a more extensive cast for this mode. The recent update launched with four characters that you can choose from. However, you won’t be able to play as them right from the start. But don’t worry! Here we’ll tell you how to unlock all the characters in the new Mercenaries mode for Resident Evil 4 Remake, which includes Luis, Krauser, and Hunk.

How to unlock all characters in Mercenaries

There are four characters right now, with the possibility of two more coming down the line. We’ll focus on the ones that are in the game for now. We currently have Leon as the default character, and you can unlock Luis, Krauser, and Hunk. Here’s how to unlock each one:

If you want to start playing as Luis in Mercenaries, you must achieve A rank first as Leon. Getting this rank is relatively easy, as you only need to get a total of 100,000 points. This is doable, and with Leon as the default character, you won’t have any issues. Just make sure that you use his mayhem ability whenever you get overwhelmed by enemies.

To unlock Krauser, you’ll need to get rank A as Luis when playing Mercenaries. If you compare him to Leon, Luis might seem a bit slower at first, but his mayhem ability is one of the best so far. You should save it for the time when the bosses arrive and put dynamite all over the place. You can wait for it to go off or shoot it. Either way, you’ll be racking some points real soon.

For the final character, you’ll need to do the same as the previous ones. Reach A rank as Krauser, a powerhouse with a bow, explosive arrows, and a powerful melee attack. Using him for the Castle stage is excellent due to the closed space of this area. Make sure you also save the mayhem ability for bosses and hordes of enemies, and you’ll be set.

As you can see, the way to unlock all characters in Resident Evil 4 Remake Mercenaries is almost the same. You’ll need the same score for all, and you get to try new characters as you unlock them. We recommend that you aim for this before trying for S++ rank so you can find which one is your favorite mercenary.
