In Hades 2, Melinoë can make use of a series of legendary weapons —known as the Nocturnal Arms— in her quest to take the head of the Titan of Time and both save and avenge her family. But although her trusty Witch’s Staff will be available from the get-go as your starting weapon, you will need to work a little bit more to unlock all of the game’s remaining picks. Now, so that you can find the perfect one for you, here’s how to get all of the unlockable weapons in Hades 2.
- Table of Contents:
(This guide was made based on the game’s Early Access version and will be updated accordingly as new weapons are released).
How to Unlock the Sister Blades in Hades 2
The first unlockable weapon you will be able to get in the game and my personal favorite, you can unlock the Sister Blades Lim and Oros in Hades 2 by expending 1 Silver while at your Nocturnal Arms unlocking screen. You can get Silver in the game by mining it with your Crescent Pick.
The biggest differential of the blades, when compared to the game’s remaining first Aspects, lies in their mobility and attack speed. Their Special also allows the weapons to fit in a way array of playstyles, including one focused on dealing damage at a distance and freezing enemies on the spot.
How to Unlock the Umbral Flames
A crowd control-focused weapon that is undoubtedly not to everyone’s taste. you can unlock the Umbral Flames Nocturnal Arm in Hades 2 by expending 3 Silver and 3 Cinder. You will get one 1x Cinder every time you defeat Hecate at the end of the Erebus map.
How to Unlock the Moonstone Axe in Hades 2
The game’s heavy weapon, you can unlock the Moonstone Axe in Hades 2 by expending 15x Silver while at the Nocturnal Arms selection screen. Although undeniably powerful, the axe’s biggest differential, while at its default Aspect, lies in its ability to allow Melinoë to guard against all types of damage while charging its Special.
How to Unlock the Argent Skull
Only available after you unlock all of the weapons above, the Argent Skull works similarly to a grenade launcher and allows Melinoë to open fire against any enemy in her path, as well as dash toward them while leaving destruction in her wake. You can unlock the weapon in exchange for 3x G-Rocks (Glassrocks) and 3x Bronze. While the Glassrocks can be mined on the Fields of Mourning (the game’s third area), you can only mine Bronze on the path toward Olympus.
You can currently play Hades 2 on PC, via both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
