There are many ways to Digivolve Digimon in Digimon Story Time Stranger, yet one of the most unique and one that won’t be available from the start involves the elusive Digi-Eggs. To get these items, you will have to spend some time around the Digi-World and complete a few main quests and boss fights to unlock the NPC who crafts them, but once you do that, you will be able to use them as many times as you want to complete your DigiTeam.
How To Unlock Digi-Eggs
To unlock Digi-Eggs in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you must complete the whole Factorial Town arc, up to the point where you defeat Vulcanusmon and hand in the quest at the first town you visit. After that, hop back inside the train and return to the Factorial Town forge to speak with Vulcanusmon.
Instead of fighting you, Vulcanusmon will offer you his services, which include crafting a few battle items, but most importantly, Digi-Eggs and Spirits. To obtain any of them, you must bring the necessary materials and pay 10,000 for each Digi-Egg or Spirit. However, once you have them, you can use them as many times as you want, as they don’t get consumed with each Digivolution.
Here’s what you need for each Digi-Egg and Spirit:
- Digi-Egg of Courage: Fluid Animation Data x5 + Wokenapalm I
- Digi-Egg of Friendship: Blackish Texture x1 + Nanomachine Break I
- Digi-Egg of Love: Spherical Model x5 + Wind Claw I
- Digi-Egg of Sincerity: Tree Model x5 + Iron SLash I
- Digi-Egg of Knowledge: Gravel Dataset x10 + Iron Slash I
- Digi-Egg of Reliability: Crystalline Structure Model x 10 + Tidal Stream I
- Digi-Egg of Miracles: Immortal Egg x1 + Digi-Jewel x3
- Digi-Egg of Destiny: Immortal Egg x1 + Safety Guard x1
- Digi-Egg of Hope: Brown Texture x10 + Holy Light I
- Digi-Egg of Light: Rusty Iron Texture x 5 + Comet Hammer I
- Human Spirit of Flame: Barbeque Skewer Set x4 + Wolkenapalm I
- Beast Spirit of Flame: Digimeat x5 + Ignition Flare I
- Human Spirit of Light: Fruit Tart x3 + Saint Knuckle I
- Beast Spirit of Light: digiApple x5 + Crush Blade I
After purchasing any of the above items, head to your Digivolution menu and trigger the evolution. Remember that only a handful of Digimon can evolve through this method, such as Veemon evolving into Flamedramon.
If you want to try a different Digivolution, you can undo the evolution and use a different egg. For instance, if you want a Lighdramon, just return your Flamedramon to Veemon and use a different egg.
Also, if you lack any of the materials, you can always travel to the In-Between and purchase the skill discs from there. Some rarer materials, such as Digi-Jewels, will take more time, as they only appear later in the game.
