Compared to other Descendants, Gley is an absolute tank in The First Descendant, a small Colossi if you will. This character is best suited for the ones that take heavy fights on using their Ultimate weapons, facing an army of targets with a ton of HP to drain. However, unlocking Gley in The First Descendant is a hard grind that might take so many day and night hours away from your lifecycle. If you managed to unlock Gley through this guide though, make sure you stick till the end to find the best build for the character.

All The Materials For Unlocking Gley & Where To Find Them

Unlike some other Descendants and like the most, unlocking Gley needs a ton of hard work to obtain the main four items that unlock her. These rare and epic items are not randomly spawned, with each and every one of them being available in certain locations.

Gley Enhanced Cells:

  • 246 Monad Shard
  • 430 Silicon
  • 38 Cooling Metallic Foil
  • Gley Enhanced Cell Blueprint

Gley Stabilizer:

  • 519 Metal Accelerant
  • 292 Flectorite
  • 60 Complex Carbon Activator
  • Gley Stabilizer Blueprint

Gley Spiral Catalyst:

  • 363 Nanopolymers
  • 408 Ceramic Composite
  • 99 Synthesized Artificial Biometal
  • Gley Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

Where To Farm Monad Shard

Where To Find Monard Shards

Finding Monard Shards is probably the easiest of all. You need to head to Kingston, and then search the area for Munition and Research boxes. These are the ground loot you’d easily find in every corner, while you don’t need to redo a mission 100 times to get them.

Where To Farm Silicon

Same thing, different place. You’ll find Silicon in the Echo Swamp as if it’s sugar in cotton candy in The First Descendant. Go there and look around, the loot boxes are everywhere in caves and open fields. Once you’ve garnered 430 of these, it’s time to deal with the hardship of unlocking Gley in The First Descendant.

Where To Farm Cooling Metallic Foil

My brother in heavens, what kind of task is this to unlock a character in a videogame? The Cooling Metallic Foil requires you to search under every rock of the White-night Gluch and find Encrypted Vaults. Then you’d need to open them using another item called the Code Analyzer which has 3 rarities and each of them is scattered in variable missions in the game.

Jump into the White-night Gulch territory, and rapidly tap the R3 button until you hear a beep sound. Navigate towards the noise and you’ll find the Vault which is going to give you more than 2 Cooling Metallic Foils if you’re lucky enough. Remember, opening these comes with a small mini-game which you’ll get the hang of once you burn some Code Analyzer tickets.

Where To Find Code Analyzers

Using Precision Code Analyzers

You can find Code Analyzers by completing different missions in The First Descendant. Probably the best of all is the Anticipated Ambush Point found in Sterile Island, which gives you easy tasks of shooting some Vulgus without much trouble. Well, if you manage to get 38 of these items, we can proceed in gathering the rest of the materials for unlocking Gley in The First Descendant.

Where To Farm Gley Enhanced Cell Blueprint

You’ll have the chance to unlock the Gley Enhanced Cell Blueprint in The First Descendant by going to the Sterile Land and surviving waves of enemy troops in the special operation mission. As the level goes up, you’ll have a shot at unlocking the Amorphous Material Pattern: 012.

Got the material? Good, now head to the Void Intercept Battle missions in Albion and give Stunning Beauty a run for her money to open it. Amorphous Material Pattern: 012 gives you a chance of unlocking the Gley Enhanced Cell Blueprint in The First Descendant.

Where To Farm Metal Accelerant

You can gain as many Metal Accelerants as you want in the Sterile Island by opening Munition and Research boxes. A new element and an easy task to accomplish.

Where To Farm Flectorite

White-night Gluch is where you can find Flectorite in the Munition and Research boxes. Just head there and search the area outside any mission; you know the drill.

Where To Farm Complex Carbon Activator

You can farm the Carbon Activator to unlock Gley in 2 of the Echo Swamp’s missions:

  • Seed Vault
  • The Chapel

Where To Farm Gley Stabilizer Blueprint

The easiest way to gain the Gley Stabilizer Blueprint in The First Descendant is by completing the Void Fusion Reactor in Vespers. There’s a location in the Lumber Yards where you can just go in and shoot 3 devices while enemies do their best to stop you. If you have a level 40 Descendant and a powerful gun, this one takes no more than 3 minutes to complete.

Where To Farm Nanopolymers

Just like the previous Gley blueprints, the Spiral Catalyst also gives you 2 easy and 2 hard tasks to gain material. The first one is the Nanopolymers, which you can find in the Munition and Research boxes of the Agna Desert.

Where To Farm Ceramic Composite

You have probably found enough Ceramic Composite while farming Flectorite in the White-night Gluch. This item is also found in this region’s Munition and Research boxes.

Where To Farm Synthesized Artificial Biometal

Gley Synthesized Artificial Biometal

You’ll find the Synthesized Artificial Biometal for unlocking Gley in the Agna Desert in The First Descendant. Three different missions give you the item in this region, which are all marked in the image above. Remember, just like many other of these materials, this item has an unlocking chance and even if you manage to get the Amorphous Pattern, you’ll then have to unlock it in the Void Intercept battles.

Where To Farm Gley Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

Want the easy way? Go fight the Hanged Man in the Normal difficulty in Void Intercept battles to unlock the Gley Spiral Catalyst Blueprint in The First Descendant. But if you’re looking to test your luck with the Amorphous pieces, then Agna Desert has 1 recon zone mission you did for Synthesized Artificial Biometal that also rewards you with this item.

Nexon, thank you for making this last one easy. Go to Kingston and complete the mission you see in the image above. Now, get back to the Albion, and fight the normal Grave Walker to unlock the Gley Code in The First Descendant.

Best Gley Build in The First Descendant

Best Gley Build The First Descendant

The only things to have in mind for the best Gley build in The First Descendant is that this character can recover HP, get bonus HP, and deal more damage to the enemies while on low HP! A pretty strong and tanky Descendant I see. Let’s chain together some of the best Modules you can equip for getting more of Gley’s power with this ultimate best build.

Best Modules For Gley:

  • Focus On Singular
  • Skill Extension
  • Stim Accelerant
  • Strong Mentality
  • Shock Punch
  • Increase HP
  • Increase DEF
  • Time Distribution
  • Nimble Fingers

With Shock Punch replacing your sub-attack with a fistfight in this build aside, all the other modules on this list are best suited for Gley so that you can have more HP, use your skills more often to recover health, and deal more damage in The First Descendant.
