This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

There are already a variety of different mounts that you can earn in New World so with the addition of the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, you can expect there to be more. One category of mounts that is being introduced is dire wolfs. You’re able to purchase them using real currency if you so choose to, but there is a dire wolf mount in the game named Bloodfeast that you have to obtain first. It’s not super obvious how to get it, so we outlined exactly how to get Bloodfeast to make things easier on you.

There are some prerequisites you need to do before you can get Bloodfeast, the dire wolf mount in New World Rise of the Angry Earth.

  • Unlock your horse mount.
  • Purchase the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion.
  • Reach level 45.
  • Do eight of the horse races that will appear on the map of Aeternum after acquiring your mount.
  • Speak with Francois De La Arma to accept a quest titled On the Scent in Great Cleave.
  • Speak with Valencia Iznov to begin the quest.
  • Set free the three wolves that are marked on the map and go back to speak with Valencia.

After completing the quest, you’ll receive a few rewards including:

  • 15,000 XP
  • Mount Unlock
  • Bloodfeast

Once you have Bloodfeast in your inventory, you’ll have to actually open it before you can expect to ride it. After that, you’ll then unlock the Wolf Shop which then lets you purchase different wolves for use in-game. These dire wolves can be pretty expensive when it comes to gold and Marks of Fortune, so you’ll want to save up beforehand.
