Want to know how to unlock World Tier 3: Nightmare in Diablo 4? Despite Diablo 4’s fascinating storyline, this is only a part of all the content in the game. After all, you can reach a new World Tier and fight more powerful enemies. While World Tier 1 and 2 are a cakewalk, World Tier 3, also known as Nightmare, is the first step into the professional horror world of Sanctuary. After reaching this mark, you can challenge World Bosses, participate in Helltide Events and look for new types of equipment. But first of all, you must unlock World Tier 3: Nightmare in Diablo 4, and we will tell you how to do it.

To unlock World Tier 3: Nightmare in Diablo 4, complete the main campaign story and finish the Capstone dungeon at the Cathedral of Light on World Tier 2: Veteran. The average level of enemies in this dungeon is 50, so your level should match or even exceed this mark. In addition, you can encounter a lot of mini-bosses and elites, so creating a good starting or level build is a logical step to succeed.

Once you unlock World Tier 3, you should travel to Kyovashad and interact with the Inarius statue. If you have met all the requirements, you can upgrade to the new World Tier 3: Nightmare difficulty by selecting it from the list. Recommend the character level for this mode is 50-70, so you should understand that from now the game world will be much more dangerous.

However, to make it easier for you to adapt to World Tier 3: Nightmare, here is the information you should know:

  • Firstly, all enemies in World Tier 3 will become much stronger and more dangerous. They have more HP and ignore 20% of all your resistances. On the other hand, they now drop 100% more experience and 15% more gold.
  • Loot dropped from monsters, dungeons, bosses, or events becomes much better. In addition to an increased chance of getting legendary items and finding rarer aspects, you can now randomly find Sacred gear items. This gear is superior to anything you’ve gotten in previous World Tier. Although, these items are still inferior to the Ancestral Items available on World Tier 4.
