Upgrading your weapons in Nightingale is crucial if you want to survive and challenge the perilous Fae Realms. Improving weapons doesn’t just increase their stats but you also need to boost their gearscores to enter Sites of Power and gain powerful loot. Gear upgrades will let you buff up your equipment capabilities further by applying active and passive skills as well. But between scavenging materials, crafting gear, and repairing tools, where can you upgrade weapons in this game?
What You Need to Upgrade Weapons in Nightingale
Upgrading weapons in Nightingale can be done by utilizing the Upgrade Bench crafting station. The station will let you improve your weapon’s rarity by using 40 Essences. There are four weapon rarities, starting from Common to Uncommon, Rare, and ends at Epic. Each rarity needs a different Essence Tier to be upgraded as well.
The T1 Essence to upgrade to Uncommon is found in the Antiquarian, Astrolabe, and Provisioner Realms. T2 Essence for Rare upgrades can be obtained at the Hunt, Gloom, and Herbarium. Lastly, the Epic T3 Essence can only be located in the Ascended Realm after discovering The Watch. They can be purchased at the Essence Trader, too, if you are having a hard time farming the Nightingale weapon upgrade material.
The Upgrade Bench comes in three tiers like all other crafting stations, and below are the materials you need to make them:
- Simple Upgrade Bench: Ingot x2, Lumber x4, Twine x3.
- Refined Upgrade Bench: TBA
- Excellent Upgrade Bench: Etched Alloy Ingot x3, Gilded Lumber x4, Carved Stone x3.
How To Enchant Weapons
Aside from upgrading rarity, weapons in Nightingale can be improved with Charms, Enchantments, and Infusions. Enchantments add bonus effects or magical power when you’re holding the weapon, such as an area-of-effect ground slam. Meanwhile, Charms and Infusions give additional passive buffs to the weapon such as increasing your maximum Health, Element or Status Resistance, and more. The traits can be applied using Enchanter’s Focus, and here are the three tiers of the crafting stations:
- Simple Enchanter’s Focus: Ingot x1, Lumber x2, Glass x5.
- Refined Enchanter’s Focus: TBA.
- Excellent Enchanter’s Focus: TBA.
Nightingale is available on PC via Steam.
