One key aspect of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is upgrading weapons, at least if you want to have an easier time when facing some of the game’s bosses. At first, you’ll have your faithful blades and nothing else against the hordes of enemies in these tight halls, but as you progress, you’ll see that they don’t pack the punch you’d want them to. Fortunately, there is a way to improve your blades, provided you have the currency and materials to enhance them.

Initially, when you reach The Haven for the first time, you’ll see a glowing door on the wall. You won’t be able to enter yet. However, behind this door lies the Blacksmith who can empower your weapons. This is what you must do to unlock it.

  1. Defeat the game’s first boss (Jahandar).
  2. Acquire the bow.
  3. Return to The Haven and go to where you initially spotted the door.
  4. Interact with it to enter.
  5. Speak with Kaheva to unlock the new shop and the upgrade menu.

Even after unlocking this feature, you’ll need to bring Time Crystals and Azure Damascus Ingots. The latter are hard to find because they are scattered all over the map. Furthermore, every upgrade will need more currency and materials, so if you want to get your weapons to the highest level, you better start exploring every nook and cranny of this place.

If you’re playing on some of the hardest difficulties, we recommend doing some backtracking after unlocking certain skills to get these items. After all, you need to upgrade your weapons in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown if you want to tackle the game’s final enemies. However, you can also bring down the difficulty if you want to focus solely on the story, and upgrading weapons won’t be so important in this scenario. Either way, more damage is never bad, and if you have the time, why not sharpen those blades?
