Pokemon Sleep isnโ€™t just about getting a good nightโ€™s rest. Like any Pokemon-centric game, itโ€™s also about caring for your pocket monsters. This means getting them EXP and upgrading them. The 2023 Pokemon Sleep Holiday Event expanded on that with the addition of the Candy Boost function. Itโ€™s an event-limited feature, however. So, if you want to enjoy it, you should jump into the game before the eventโ€™s conclusion on December 25 at 3:59 AM local time.

Since the Holiday Event began on December 18, Pokemon Sleep has embarked on a delightful journey, allowing us to meet different Ice-type Pokemon, gain rewards from event-themed missions, and more. One of the best new features in Pokemon Sleep is the Candy Boost function.

The Candy Boost acts exactly as it sounds: your Pokemon receives a boost in the candy function. They get double the amount of EXP from candies. Thereโ€™s an exchange, however. Youโ€™ll use up to six times more Dream Shards than usual. Even so, the event balances all that out. During the event, the Dream Shard Magnet S is also boosted to be twice as effective.

So, thereโ€™s nothing you need to do to receive the Candy Boost function in Pokemon Sleep besides toggle it on or off if you donโ€™t want it. However, it does appear most useful if you want to quickly level up your helper Pokemon.

How To Get More Candies

The only way to take advantage of the Candy Boost is to collect enough candies for your helper Pokemon. Your helper Pokemon is a good way to gain candies as they collect them along with berries. You can choose up to five Pokemon for your Helper Team. The Pokemon that gather candies will always have a Candy icon above their head.

Additionally, you can also use the Research Community to gain more candies before the Candy Boost function is over in Pokemon Sleep. The more friends you can add, the better your chances of collecting a host of candies.

Completing missions is another great way to collect candies. The event-limited missions offer helpful rewards like over a dozen Pikachu candies. As time winds down, you must take whatever steps you can to rack up your candy inventory. The more you have, the more you can give to your favorite Pokemon helper to upgrade them or evolve them.
