Like all previous Bethesda RPGs, Starfield has a large amount of different abilities and skills to offer players. You will need some of them to pick locks, some to build ships, and some to fight. However, in addition to the basic skills, you will also be able to get the power of a mysterious race called Starborn. These abilities are so unusual that they are more like magic than anything scientifically explicable. So, read on to find out how to use Starborn Powers in Starfield.

Starborn Powers are not available to Starfield players at the start of their adventure. So, if you want to get stronger, you will have to progress through the story quests until you reach the Into the Unknown quest. During it, you will learn how to find Temples with hidden Artifacts. And by interacting with these Artifacts, you will get new powerful abilities.

After you get your first Starborn Power, you will unlock a new tab in your character’s menu. It’s called Powers and it is located above your character. In this tab, you will find all the Starborn Powers available to you.

Also, there, you can choose the ability that your character will use. If you have already learned a few Starborn Powers and can’t choose, you can add them to the quick swap menu to easily switch during combat or exploration of the world.

How To Use Starborn Power

Along with Starborn Power, you will receive an Energy bar, next to your Health. You need this Energy to use Powers. Luckily it recovers over time. So, to use your Starborn Power in Starfield, you need to press the X button on your keyboard or press LB and RB at the same time on your controller.

First, you will have access to the Anti-Gravity Field. This Power creates a low-gravity area around you that will make your enemies float so you can easily beat them. And by progressing, you can find even more Powers. But for this, you have to visit many planets in search of temples.

That’s all you need to know about how to use Starborn Power in Starfield. These Powers are very useful and can change your gameplay. So, follow our advice to equip and use them. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get (& Use) Potatoes.
