Typically, in Disney Dreamlight Valley, most things in your inventory serve a purpose. However, some items come up that lead to some confusion. That is true with the Conspicuous Book. For the longest, many had no clue what to do with it. So, we’ll show you just how you can use the Conspicuous Book in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Use (and get) the Conspicuous Book in Disney Dreamlight Valley

First of all, before we learn how to use the Conspicuous Book, we must find it. The Book stems from our good pal Mickey. Before you can get it, you must be at Friendship Level 10 with Mickey. Alongside that, you must complete all of his Friendship Quests. You’ll access The Secret Door quest, and when this is finished, you’ll find a storage room.

It is inside this room you find the Conspicuous Book in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but not exactly how to use it.

Once you pick it up, there is no indication of what you can do with it. When you highlight it, all it states is the following:

  • “A book that … hums? Curious.”

Some players wind up with this Book in their inventory for quite some time. This is because they leave the room right away.

If you stay in the room, you will find out that you can use the Conspicuous Book close to where you find it in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Look to the back of the secret room at the wall. There is a bookshelf there, and if you interact with it, you will notice that you can place an item on the bookshelf.

Once that pop-up menu shows, you can select the Conspicuous Book. When you place the Conspicuous Book on the bookshelf, it moves and reveals a secret entrance.

And this is how you use the Conspicuous Book in Disney Dreamlight Valley: it is a key to unlock another secret room.

There are a few things you can find in this room that, while not incredibly remarkable, can serve as a cool bonus:

  • Rare Gems
  • Night Shards
  • Crafting Station

The gems and Night Shards are found in the numerous chests lying around the room. These chests cannot be upgraded, however. So, this isn’t an area where you should expect an abundance of extra storage space. It is nice to find the materials, though, and if you ever need crafting while in the area, you have a station nearby.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC, macOS, PS5/PS4, Xbox One/Series, and Nintendo Switch.
