Fans are clamoring over each other to experience the continuing saga of Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. As a sequel to the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, there are high expectations for the title. One of the more unique traits of this particular sequel is that developer Respawn chose to have all of Cal’s abilities from the first game unlocked from the start. This leaves many players to wonder if the ability to wall run remains intact. Let’s break down just how to wall run in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
Wall Running in Star Wars Jedi Survivor Explained
Cal Kestis definitely still retains his ability to wall run in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Not much has changed with the mechanic since his initial outing. If you want to run along a vertical piece of terrain, it is actually extremely easy to accomplish.
To wall run in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, simply head towards a wall while gaining some speed via the sprint button. Make sure to use the jump button in the wall’s direction just before reaching it. Cal will automatically start to move along the surface as you hold forward. Make sure that the wall you are jumping to has the telltale sign of horizontal lines running along it or the ability will not work.
This feat can only be done for short distances, however. Cal will slowly start to lose momentum along the cliffside and eventually have to either jump to another runnable wall or to a platform. Make sure to press the jump button towards your intended direction when you begin to see him get close to falling. Failure to do this will cause you to plummet to your demise. This is not ideal when you want to successfully wall run.
