The Music Man co-stars’ latest outing received negative reactions from social media users over infidelity allegations. These speculations started during their December 2021 to January 2023 Broadway performance.
During the revival of the classic musical, Jackman was married to his longtime wife Deborra-Lee Furness. At the same time, Foster was married to the screenwriter Ted Griffin. The co-stars frequently gushed about their bond on set, raising several eyebrows and sparking cheating rumors.
These infidelity speculations skyrocketed when the Deadpool & Wolverine star ended his romance with Furness in September 2023. A year later, Foster separated from Griffin in October 2024, with sources claiming she and Jackman were an item. The duo seemingly confirmed the dating rumors by walking hand-in-hand for a dinner date in Santa Monica, California.
The paparazzi photographed them arriving together, smiling brightly, and looking lovingly at each other on Monday, January 6. Jackman kept it casual in a black jacket, grey shirt, white jeans, and sneakers. On the other hand, Foster looked classy in an olive dress underneath a tan trench coat. The pictures of Jackman and Foster’s dinner date made the rounds on social media platforms like X. As stated, many were displeased by the couple’s happiness as they believed their love stemmed from infidelity. These critics did not hold back when slamming the pair, with someone writing:
“He was literally my favorite film actor, and she was my favorite Broadway actress. I can’t even look at them now. So disappointing.”
Another accused the couple of scheduling “a pap walk after they cheated on their respective spouses and then divorce [sic] them.” They noted they used to admire Foster and Jackman until the Broadway play that influenced their alleged affair. A third echoed similar sentiments, stressing, “Passing this off as a ‘new happy couple’ is a ridiculous endorsement of cheating.”
