Update 1.12 is here for Hunt: Showdown, and in these patch notes, you will learn about all the changes and fixes made in this patch. This update fixes many problems such as reload bugs, empty lobbies, server issues, and auto-balancing. On top of that, new tutorials have been added to help new players get a better start in the game. Hunt: Showdown 1.12 Update also includes many new features that will make solo players very happy. To mention them briefly, solo players with Necromancers can now revive themselves and their Dark Sight Boost will be doubled. Here’s everything new with Hunt: Showdown update 1.12.

Hunt: Showdown 1.12 Update Patch Notes

This update introduces a complete overhaul of our new-player onboarding experience. Hunters are now introduced to the unique gameplay of Bounty Hunt through two new Tutorials:

The Basic Tutorial explains Hunt’s most important core elements, like controls, Dark Sight and Clues, gunplay, monsters, and more. After completing the Basic Tutorial, you can continue playing the Advanced Tutorial (or access it separately later). In the Advanced Tutorial, Hunters will find a clue to locate a Boss Target, then fight and banish it. After Hunters retrieve their Bounty, they can leave with their prize.

Questlines are here!

With Update 1.12, there will be two new Questlines in the bayou: “The Ward of the Reptilian” and “Vengeance of the Skinned.” These Questlines offer Hunters new types of activities to pursue, as well as valuable rewards to earn across six acts, including unlocking new weapon variants, Legendary Equipment, and more.

The primary rewards for the upcoming Questlines are as follows. Make sure to play through the Questlines within the given time frames so that you don’t miss out on the rewards!

“The Ward of the Reptilian” March 29th – May 1st, 2023

Act 1 – Legendary Dusters “Monongahela Bruiser”

Act 2 – Winfield M1876 Centennial Shorty (Weapon Unlock)

Act 3 – Legendary Scottfield Model 3 Precision “Somber Gale”

Act 4 – Winfield M1876 Centennial Shorty Silencer (Weapon Unlock)

Act 5 – Legendary Berthier Mle 1892 “Ferryman’s Oar”

Act 6 – Legendary Hunter “The Scaled Ward”

“Vengeance of the Skinned” Coming soon after The Ward of the Reptilian!

Act 1 – Springfield M1892 Krag Bayonet (Weapon Unlock)

Act 2 – Legendary Nagant M1895 Officer Brawler “Killian’s Chance”

Act 3 – Springfield M1892 Krag Sniper (Weapon Unlock)

Act 4 – Legendary Bomb Lance “Nola’s Screw”

Act 5 – Weapon Charm “Marred Murex”

Act 6 – Legendary Hunter “The Skinned”

Left-side Peek Advantage

Adjustments were made to the location of the Hunter model in relation to the camera, reducing the advantage gained from peeking from the left side of the cover. This adjustment focuses specifically on how much of Hunter’s head is shown when peeking, meaning that there can, in some edge cases, still be slightly more of Hunter’s body showing, depending on the situation.

Combat Log Changes

With this new update, damage history has been implemented. You can now see up to 90 seconds of activity before your demise, so you can work out how you were killed and how to do better next time. There will also be extra detail added, including what weapon was used, applied status effects, changes to the health bar, if it was a headshot or wall bang, etc.

Solo Player Improvements

This update adds additional solo-only conditional effects to select Traits to help those who dare to take on teams of Hunters alone in the bayou.

Not only does Necromancer’s self-revive from Devil’s Moon receive a comeback, but there are also several other Traits that give benefits to Hunters who go in solo. We are also slightly increasing the bonus for extracting with the Bounty as a solo player.

New Wildcard Contracts

We’re testing out a new Wildcard Contract. If you select the Wildcard Contract in update 1.12, you will be taken to a separate queue of Hunters wanting to enter the bayou and play in the Night Time of Day.

New Lootable Saddles

We’re bringing a new loot option to the world of Hunt! Lootable saddles are new additions that can be found on hitching posts or strapped to dying horses. These saddles can have a weapon holster and/or a saddle bag attached to them, allowing Hunters to get their hands on weapons, consumables, or Hunt Dollars.

Hunt: Showdown is available now on Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One & Series X|S. For more information regarding this patch, visit the official Hunt: Showdown site.
