The day is upon us, Breakers. After many teasers, trailers, and other fun announcements, Hyper Light Breaker is ready to begin its early access period. To celebrate this moment, the game has unveiled an action-packed trailer, showing a few of the things that await anyone jumping into this world alone or with other players. Remember, even if it is an early access period, HLB has a lot of things for everyone to try, including three playable characters, a lot of build options, and two fierce crowns to take down. So, prepare for one of the most unique rogue-lite adventures of 2025.
In celebration of its early access launch on January 14, Hyper Light Breaker unveiled a trailer that will surely excite more than one player. Assuming you’ve been out of the loop, HLB is a new game set in the Hyper Light Drifter universe, which puts players in an open-world rogue-lite environment. During the early access period, gamers can pick between three Breakers and face two Crowns, the latter being the bosses of the game. Beyond that, there are many enemies lurking in this ever-changing open world. Assassins, Elites, and other foes are some of the few who are ready to end your run. Fortunately, there are many things that players can grab to improve their playthrough and stay alive for a while.

Furthermore, if you want to jump between Breaker and Drifter, there’s a bundle coming with the latter being free. We have more information regarding that bundle here. But if you only want to focus on this co-op chaotic rogue-lite experience, right now’s the perfect time to buy it. Remember, though, the game will launch in early access, which means more content will come in future updates. But if you want to provide feedback and support the developers, now’s the best time to do so. Speaking of, players won’t have to wait long for the early access roadmap. The team behind HLB mentioned the roadmap will come a few weeks after the early access launch, so that’s something to look forward to.
