It is time to delve into the Overgrowth once more because Hyper Light Breaker is getting its first major update, Buried Below. Beyond many improvements and significant gameplay changes, there are two big things to watch out for. First, a new Breaker is coming alongside a terrifying new Crown. So, if you’ve been craving some fast-paced roguelike action or have been looking for an excuse to jump into this game, now’s the perfect time. Furthermore, the update is right around the corner, so you won’t have to wait long for your next run.

Hyper Light Breaker Launches Its Buried Below Update on April 29

On April 29, everyone who owns Hyper Light Breaker will be able to experience everything ‘Buried Below’ is bringing.

As we mentioned, Hyper Light Breaker is bringing a lot of improvements and significant changes to its gameplay structure. Now, Breakers will only have one life and will lose everything if they die during a run. This is to keep the roguelike experience as traditional as possible. However, there are also more ways to extract now, such as being able to do it from Shrines with no waves of enemies. On top of that, Rondo is coming to the fray, bringing a new SyCom for players to try out.

However, the biggest addition is the new Crown, “Maw,” who’s bound to be the deadliest boss players have faced in the game so far. A few keen-eyed Breakers might’ve spotted Maw before, but this time they’ll take the fight to this menacing dragon-looking boss.

If that wasn’t enough, players will also find two new melee weapons, new locales, a streamlined Vault system, and an improved onboarding for newcomers. So, it might be the best time to start a new run and see every new feature coming to this update.
